What I Have vs. What I Need

What I've got

What I need

This is my last post until Monday because I need to take a little break from the internet. My eyelids have been strangely swollen and uncomfortable. No idea why because I've done nothing specific to aggravate them, haven't cried, etc. The only thing I can figure is that my eyes are dry from the heat and dry winter air. Hrm. Anyway. Enough about that. Perhaps it is caused by my stress recently.

Here are some cards I pulled on Wednesday. First I pulled three cards which represented what was going on for me, and they seemed very tense to me: 10 of Wands, 9 of Swords, 5 of Cups. Ew! I have to admit, these do represent how I've been feeling. I can't even say precisely why. It's a combination of things, but they definitely hit home. I think it's good to acknowledge these feelings, no matter what their source. Give them air, so to speak.

Then I pulled three cards representing what I needed, and they seemed very clear and direct: Strength, Ace of Swords, Death. I liked the nature of this reading so decided to share it. I think this reading makes sense to me on a kind of general level, but I'm sure there are more specific implications, too.

I will see you all next week and wish you all a lovely ending to the first week of 2013.

Love,
MM

    1. Hi Sharyn!

Happy 2013 to you! This is a lovely deck. The details can be a bit too small at times, but it's worth it since you can spend some time enjoying the images. Hope you're having a good first week so far. :)

      Hugs,

  3. Beautiful reading, MM! Glad you pulled such powerful, supportive cards for what you need :) Now, maybe you need to pull some for how to get from here to there ;)

Love this deck, too. It comes out great in scans - you can see the images better. A good friend bought me a print of the World card, and it hangs in my dining room, right over where I sit and write most of my tarot posts :D

    1. Thank you, m'dear!

Yeah, I really enjoyed these cards. I am definitely struggling a bit with the 'moving forward' part of 2013, but it's early yet. Right now I'm about to research dance and other classes for my daughter...trying to get over my 'group' and 'social' phobias. Oye.

Hope you have a really good week,
      MM

    2. Socialising is important, especially as she's home-schooled. Good luck finding something that suits you both! :)

    3. I know...it just makes me cringe so much. Especially considering past experiences. Sigh. Well, no one said life was fair or fun. ;D

    4. I find it's rarely if ever fair, but quite often fun, nevertheless :D

    5. Hehee--well, that is a good point. There is some fun. :) I did sign Pele up for an intro gymnastics class, and have designs on some other things too...the local butterfly pavilion (well, semi-local) which has events and things in the spring and summer. So I'm definitely working on it! I have to mind those growing pains.

      XOXO,

    6. Yeah, the growing pains can be challenging! I remember the first time Big Boy shuffled off my lap and pushed my legs away, wanting to sit by himself. I was both delighted that he was finally getting some autonomy, and sad to be shoved away like a bit of rubbish ;) Still, overall I'm really glad he no longer wants to be attached to me 24/7!

      XOXOXO,
